Start with OrientationLessons
- Start with the life you are trying to build — rank income, environment, schedule, physical demands, location/travel, training time, advancement, ownership, and family constraints.
- Build a skills inventory — separate technical, transferable, credentials, habits, tools/software, relationships, and gaps.
- Understand Registered Apprenticeship — learn the paid-work, structured-learning, mentoring, wage progression, and credential model and verify opportunities through official sources.
- Compare training pathways — compare credential, licensing, completion, cost, schedule, prerequisites, placement support, refund terms, transferability, and demand.
- Build a job-search asset stack — focused résumé, introduction, professional profile, portfolio/work samples, references, certifications, interview stories.
- Interview as problem-solving — prepare evidence of reliability, learning, safety, communication, conflict handling, customer service, and initiative.
- Professional habits compound — measure reliability, communication, documentation, safety, punctuality, handoffs, and skill growth.
- From trade skill to entrepreneurship — identify the business skills required beyond technical competence.
- Your Pathway Action Plan — define target role, fit, credential, verified route, cost, timeline, application, first contact, and backup route.
