Learning materials
Start with orientation to review the source-first standard, privacy rules and learning process.
Start with OrientationLessons
- Build your money picture — privately map cash flow, reserves, debt, protection/risk questions, and goals.
- Cash flow before complexity — build a 30-day calendar showing inflows, essential obligations, debt payments, goals, and flexible spending.
- Reserves create breathing room — choose a starter reserve target and recurring funding method.
- Understand debt before choosing a strategy — map balance, minimum, APR/interest, due date, secured/unsecured status, and questions to verify.
- Credit reports and scores — understand report data, scoring models, authorized reports, and legitimate error-dispute procedures.
- Banking and financial-product decisions — compare fees, minimums, access, insurance status where applicable, overdraft rules, fraud protections, and terms.
- Protection and insurance fundamentals — identify risks that could materially affect a household and questions to research without recommending a carrier, policy, or amount.
- Investing fundamentals — examine risk, return, diversification, fees, taxes, horizon, liquidity, and tolerance without promises or individualized recommendations.
- Consumer protection and fraud awareness — recognize urgency, secrecy, impersonation, guarantees, and verification bypasses as warning signs.
- Your 30-Day Money Action Plan — choose one practical outcome and execute with evidence, obstacle planning, and review.
